Risks are fine when calculated. I know many people here take risks that are calculated and documented. I don't really see anyone much PROCLAIMING the risks like some badge, there is simply evidence of it in the various trip reports to show the risks and to help assess their reasonableness when coupled with the personality/physical capabilities of the hiker.. I value those reports and the risks they document. It also helps to use such evidence as an overlay for our own experiences.
