Crap on Rope

On a simlar note to "Pee on Rope," my climbing partner accidentally shit on our rope. Does this present any danger? What should I do? The smell is killing me, but I'm afraid to wash it out until I get some feedback.

Just clean with conc. sulphuric and get a new girlfriend

nice thing about 60m ropes - extra wipes... or 1" wide slings for that matter.
