La Sportiva: Glacier or Eiger boot

Need a good allround boot, price not a factor.

Needs to serve a multitude of tasks well.

Unsure of rollerball lacing vs. regular lacing.
Glacier has a 1/2 shank vs fullshank of the Eiger so....

Where does each boot excel? reach limitations?
Any opinions of mountaineers with good insight?

thanks!

I dont have good insight....

mountaineering or otherwise but leave the Eiger in the shop. The heel and specificly the heel spine comes apart with all the rubbing and seems. Too tall also. If you like the tallness of a boot but want the single piece leather that takes a beating, go with Scarpa.

Glacier is a better quality boot built on the Makalu last and if it were me, I would look at the Makalu - new this year or next depending on how you look at it, rubber rand will on the Makalu.

With any boot, fit will make it the best or worse boot on the market.

Belay-Off
Ice Dawg
Commitment, Not Equipment - but the boots must fit

Fit first 100%

But, I'm getting used boots to try out.

Thansk for the beta on the Eiger.
