Any climbers recently been up the east tongue of snow creek on Mt San Jacinto? Looking for some beta on current conditions. Also is it nice to bring along pickets or other pro. Will a general mt axe work or should one bring tools.Thanks

;I am also interested, but I go the other way, down snow creek on tele skis. I usually carry a regular ice axe(70mm) and a rope for the rappel section, unless if it a heavy el nino year. The 75' cliff was filled from avalanches and snow fall. It was a 4-5000' ski decent. Check with the Angeles ski mountaineers section site. People usually post trip reports there:
