Cool-weather belay gloves

I'm looking for gloves I can use when on belay in the chilly months (temps between 35-50F). They need to grip the rope well (obviously) and provide warmth. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Cool-weather belay gloves

That's why belay devices were invented. You don't have to grip the rope all that hard, just bend the belayer end over the device. I have no problems when ice climbing with wet and icy ropes and well-insulated gloves or mittens. The more recent devices that are intended to take the smaller diameter ropes work very well with gloves, and even the old Sticht plate works sell, as does a Munter hitch. The device does the work, not the gloves or hand.
