Was it a year (or, gasp, two?) ago that someone posted about busting a locking carabiner in a TR set up? Somewhere in the Northeast, maybe Conn?

Please, help refresh my memory! Any news ever come of it?

Yeah, wasn't it an Omega locker in a TR setup off a tree?
Probably running the gate over an edge?
I'd like to hear the follow up as well, but I suspect that the original poster figured out his own pilot error.

Hmmm,

as I remember the guy got a good barage of questions about how he had his set up. He was adament that the biners were freely hanging with no edges to bend the spines. He had all the runners coming to one master knot so the biners were only loaded in 1-direction. He may have made a mistake, but it didn't sound like it.

Yeah, I know he said that, but I just don't believe it.
Especially easy to do when climbing Traprock.

His address is listed RMB@anglefire.com on the review site. No idea if it is current, that review has been the for a LONG time.

The biners are made in a prison, anything is possible.
