I've been looking at all the websites for BlackFriday sales--REI, Backcountry, Campmor, & etc. It's funny, that I've reached a point where those sites don't carry what I'm really after.

The cottage industry vendors sell in such low volume, they don't have Christmas sales, but what they provide is, in general, quite superior to the chain stores, and it's American made.

I don't see the big stores disappearing as long as people need TNF and yoga pants, and I do shop there for more common items--but shop around the small guys for Christmas.

Here's a list of some of them I visit. I have no affiliation with any of them, other than as a customer. Perhaps others can add to this list.

I have been happy with several purchases through prolitegear.com, and rockandsnow.com. I am not affiliated with either of these stores in any way, but have found some good deals at both.

Sláinte!

Thanks for the recommendations above, guys.

I'll be sure to add to our Outdoor Gear Brands list, any gear manufacturers mentioned above that aren't already on it.

I've added the following gear manufacturers mentioned above to our list of Outdoor Brands:

Others were already listed.

Even if you don't see a brand you want to review, you can still review its products on Trailspace. Just leave the brand field blank in the review, and include it in the product name. We'll add relevant outdoor brands.

Thanks!
