Here's what NOT to buy a Leave No Trace Trainer for Christmas. I got this last year...

LNT principals say the exact opposite.

Walk single file in the middle of the trail, even when wet or muddy.

Maybe you could re-gift that f klock.....to an elected official or something.

Nice observation though!

Yes, I was chastised in the Grand Canyon for hiking off trail, well human trails anyway, I used to follow Big Horn Sheep routes along the top of the Redwall and hike down all the side canyons. I was also banned from the Grand Canyon Hiking egroup for talking about off trail hiking.

Most places I go do not have established camp sites or fire rings. Most of the time I do not build a fire, much less a ring. However, if I do build a ring, I leave it. In my opinion, it is better for these areas if others would camp where I do instead of making all kinds of fire rings all over the place.

Your post with picture had me laughing, f_klock! That's pretty funny.

So, do you have it on display somewhere or is it hidden in a closet?

It's in my office because someone I work with gave it to me. It's not, however, in a very conspicuous place. :-/
