I've always had reservations about using this type of autobelay device. It is hard for the user to check them out and inspect them in the gyms where they are in heavy use. There are a number of gyms around here that have gone to using these exclusively, supposedly to reduce accidents due to belayer inattention. At least you can yell at a human belayer.
