Been a while since I posted on the forums, and I know this topic was discussed way back when I was a moderator, but...

Why did we loose the "edit" function...or is it there and I'm not seeing it?

Welcome back, Ed!  The "edit" button is available for two hours after a post is originally made.

Dave, I never see it immediately after hitting "post message".

I've been making additional posts to correct the 1st.

My browser maybe? Any suggestions?

Hmm. Are you able to see the "reply" and "quote" buttons"?

We've had sporadic reports of similar behavior in an older version of Internet Explorer -- any chance you're using Internet Explorer 7?

Hey Dave, just wanted to chime in on this real quick.

iClimb mentioned something in a thread that he didn't have his edit tab either.

Thanks Rick, it is true I did not see the edit button the other day, but do see reply and quote. I use MacBook Pro, latest version of Safari.

The weird thing is, I used to be able to edit.

Edit - I saw it this time...weird.

Dave, I do NOT see the reply or quote buttons.

I only see any type of toolbar while writing a reply (8 functions).

Can't see anything at home or at work

I'm using AOL at home and not sure what browser my work place uses - but it's a large, international company and they always have the latest software.

I'll find out which I have.

I hate to have the moderators keep correcting my spelling errors for me.

Especially Pittsburgh Moderators. They can barely spell "Go Stillers".  :)

Son, I say that's a Joke...(I am an ex moderator from Pittsburgh)

Ed, I've made a couple changes that should help with this. you may need to clear your browser's cache, or quit and relaunch your browser for the changes to be visible.

Give it another try, Ed. I made some additional changes and everything seems to be working as expected in my copy of IE7.

(Now, how would I say that in Pittsburghese?)

We 'Burghers would say:

Yinz all get together at my house and we'll watch the Stillers, drink some Arn City and then take turns running the sweeper and redding off the table.

OK...here goes nuthin'

aaaaand  TOUCHDOWN!!!

thanks Dave.  If we ever are in the 'Burgh together,  I'll introduce you to Danny's Parkview Pizza

Can't leave out Primanti's either in the strip or Market Square. ;)

ya know, I lived in Bethel Park for 40 years and had my 1st Primanti's sandwich just last November.

Sorry to say, I did not like it all that much.

Never even heard of the place untill it was mentioned on a TV show after I moved to Florida

I'm more of a toasted Italian Hoagie kind of guy...but of course if your into big fried fish sammich's, there's always Dorito's bar in South Park.

as you can see,  I'm a South Hills guy thru and thru

Dorito's fish sandwich is awesome.

Pittsburgh is sometimes referenced as a drinking town with a football problem... We like to eat alot too. ;)

Then of course if you are hungry you could always snag up a "battleship" from the Triangle Deli.

I use to win bets during lunch on whether or not I could consume the whole thing.

Just spent the weekend in the 'Burgh (Washington, Pa)

Interesting weather on Friday, but yesterday was absolutely beautifull!

Got to go out tramping around the woods on Saturday and Sunday.

Sure do miss that area.

Always good to get back home for a couple days.
