We review gear, can we have a Forum Topic where users review guides?
I am looking into going on a guided climbing trip and this could potentially help a lot.

Looking at an alpine class to familiarize me with things like glacier travel and crevasse rescue. Also wanting to go up something along the lines of Mt. Baker or Hood with Rainier on the horizon in a few years.

Hmmmm, I wont be able to help you out much concerning that part of the world. I live Canada closer to the east coast. I mainly travel/climb in Quebec, New-england or Europe. My girlfriend doesn't let me go out west much. Last time I left without her, I ended up staying three weeks instead of four days it almost got me fired and single. (Bad western mountains...;-)
Good luck with your project, especially the crevasse rescue part. Safety is always useful, let alone nescessary. Rainier seem's wicked. I think Alicia might be able to help you. If my memorie is good she plans to hike rainier, or has already done so.

sageto snow- the advice I was given by a Mountaneer was use RMI! He said they had great clinics and the best Mountain guides he could name..That and the oppertunity to be on Rainier would be awesome...Someday for me..

FYI, denis - The PCT runs very close to where I live -- google Twisp, WA and/or Methow Valley, WA. If you do the PCT, let me know & I'll rendezvous with you somewhere on the northern leg -- Glacier Peak to Hart's Pass. Or, maybe you'll want to bail out for a guest room hiatus & a Pub burger????

I've been so involved with my career the last 5 yrs. I forgot what fun was and I started reading Trailspace for some escapee..The thing that really made me get back into backpacking were my friends emailed pictures of their trip this past year of the Himalaya's..That was it!Either live life or let it pass you by...I hurd the PCT is marvelous and the AT has a charm unto itself..So start with one then see the other...Diffently take you up on it once I figure how I am going to rangle 6 months next year.LOL

So, do we want a way to review guides on this website just like we review gear?
