TNF Warranty and Repairs

Has anyone had any experience with ripped North Face apparel and their warranty department? After a tumble on the ski slopes I ended up with a 3 inch rip in my Mountain Light Jacket. I know TNF's website states that this is not covered by their warranty and that they will repair it for a reasonable fee, but I just don't see how a rip through the middle of one of the fabric panels can be repaired without looking like its been stitched up like Frankenstein. Has anyone had any experience with their repairs?

Thanks!

Re: TNF Warranty and Repairs

For non-warranty repairs, contact Penny at Specialty Outdoors-
http://www.specialtyoutdoors.com

If you call or email Penny, she can explain to you how she would do the repair and what it would look like afterwards. Her website has pictures of work she has done and a FAQ on how she works, costs, etc.
