footprint orientation ?

Hi, I have a foot print for a kelty mantra tent and would like to know which side faces up ? Thanks HammerHeadHank

I would think the side with the waterproofing faces up; that way, it's protected from direct contact/damage with/from sharp objects.

I have seen footprints made to be used waterproof side down as well(indicated by the orientation of side release buckles for the rain fly), I guess that way dirt & mud would wipe off easily, but I would rather clean my gear later than scuff the urethane coating and either be surprised by a leak and/or have to repair it.
