First Need XL Backwash Question

I have lost my manual and can not remember how to backwash this filter. Its a First Need XL. I have been googling all night for this simple process and can find nothing on it. Even the manufacturer site doesn't seem to have any useful information.

Can anyone help me please? Spent 3 days on the AT and it badly needs some attention.. :-)

From my First Need XL manual:

Backwash - During trip to clean or unclog:

Pump purifed water SLOWLY backward through cansiter as shown.

(diagram shows canister removed and dismounted from the pump, "output" side of canister connected to hose from the pump)

Backwash - Pre-storage clean:

1) Add 5 drops of household bleach to one quart of purified water.

2) Pump this SLOWLY backward through cansiter as shown. (same diagram)

3) Air dry-store in a clean, dry area away from fumes.
