Yes. It works, but I'm not really impressed with it for backcountry use.

What are you intending to use it for?  Not suited for elevations over 10K', lack of heat control and low BTU output are my three strikes against use as a fuel, while working under wet conditions as a fire starter would be the other concern.  Its cute, though, for those with the tinker gene.

I'll stick with ESBIT in my Trail Designs Sidewinder ti cone. THE best ESBIT stove I've found. I use about 30% less fuel than with my former Vargo Triad stove and MSR windscreen.

For more heat and extended cook time I can burn two ESBIT tabs side-by-side in the "Gram Cracker" fuel tablet holder.

If I'm finished cooking before the tablets burn out I can blow them out and re-use for the next meal.

And I'll put up with the slight residue on the pot.
