Thought I better pick up a bag that can be used in moderate climates since the likelihood of roasting in my zero is high here in the desert. So I picked this up:

Mountain Hardwear Lamina 35 Sleeping Bag - Regular - 2012 Closeout*

  • CYPRESS, Regular Right

Callahan had done a review of it and with my dvidend and clsoeout pricing, paid around $40.00 for it cash out of pocket. Now I will have to get out and hike so I can USE IT!

I love the lamina series from MH, little bit of a roomier cut, reasonable weight, conservative temp ratings.

That has been my three season bag for the past 3 or 4 years now. It's a great bag. I've taken it down to around 25 degrees in the Catskills last fall and was comfortable as can be.

They just had it on SAC for $75.- & I thought that was a steal.

Enjoy it, your going to like it.

I hope you get all the joy from your Lamina 35 that I've had from my Lamina 20 (for a decidedly not-desert climate). Packs surprisingly small, and I love the feel of it, the soft materials and the poofy full loft of the unstitched, unbaffled insulation. Great hood and draft collar design, too. Happy camping!

I am so excited to get it! AND to use it of course. ROB: Maybe I better prosecute myself for that larceny!

a theft of that amount is DEFINITELY only a misdemeanor, and besides, you have a great justification defense.

But Rob...the violation is for the value of the bag, not the cost. In some jurisdictions that would STILL be a felony.

that is an amazing deal. I have had one for  years now and love it. I have also used it down to 25 degrees. My only gripe is that the zipper tends to get stuck a lot.
