Ya know, I just love new ideas when it comes to an approach on a gear item. This one has me on the fence.

$1675, weighs 12.4lbs, and it seems as though there are a few steps to setting the tent.

Split up between 3 folks it is a lil over 4lbs a piece so it is doable but at the same time for this type of cash there most certainly are options.

For instance one could purchase a Hilleberg Saitaris(close to the same weight)for this type of coin and save $300...

So what are your thoughts on the SlingFin Hardshell tent? Would you consider it if you were in the market for premium tent for rough conditions?

it looks like that tent would be hard to pitch in weather. if it was snowing, you would have the inside full of snow before you could get the outer pitched. seems like an awful lot of money for a not very innovative tent. the Hilleberg has a bigger vestibule. get the hille and save 300 bucks.
