Any ideas where you can get hiking pants with an inseam longer than 34 but that doesn't require you to have a 40 inch waist?

I am 6'3", 180 pounds, and I have very long legs and as such a 34 waist is perfect but a 34 inseam is just a bit to small. I have some Mountain Hardwear Mesa pants that I love but I have to wear them low on my waist and the companies usually carried in sporting goods stores don't seem to make an inseam longer than 34.

Your best bet may be to buy a larger size and get them tailored

Try searching for the inseam size you're looking for.  I just did a quick google search for "mens hiking pants 36 inseam" and got hits for REI and a bunch of other places.

I just picked up some Arcteryx hiking pants in a 32x35 on a sale rack here in Norway. I also got some 32x34 Gore Tex pants at REI -- a bit heavy for summer hiking but maybe they have something else. My ideal waist is 32, so I have to wear these with a belt but they work. LL Bean also has a lot of stuff for us tall skinny guys.
