Junior Trekking Poles

I just picked up some Komperdell Peak Hunter - Junior trekking poles for my 10-yr old son.  These things are a pretty good looking and solid trekking pole at first glance.  They are an xmas gift for my son.  I can't wait to give them to him.  He will be excited.  $27.95 clearance (Sunny Sports) is a pretty good price IMO and really can't go wrong.  I will post a review after he gets some good use out of them.  He will get a lot of use on a Grand Canyon - Havasupai trip we have planned for March.

Has he been using poles already?  Definitely will get some use if you're hiking the canyon heh.  Nice gift!

He hasn't used poles yet LoneStranger.  He and I were hiking in Glacier Nat'l Park this summer and he mentioned he wanted a pair.  Never too early to start him out.  I was glad I found an affordable quality pair to start him out with.  I am really excited for our Grand Canyon trip.  Sharing the outdoors with my son is always a real treat for both of us.
