LED or Propane Lantern

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any advice about lanterns... specifically, would you recommend LED or propane? And then any specific brands/models would be great. This would be for general camping trips that tend to last between 2 and 6 nights, sometimes there is considerable portaging and/or hiking so lightweight would be best (I'm strong but also little - 5 feet, 110lbs). Thanks so much!
Melissa

Well if you already carry canisters for a stove then perhaps the snow peak lantern would be the best bet depending on how long the outting would be.

Re: LED or Propane Lantern

why do you feel you need a lantern?

Ever consider just using a chem lighstick and a headlamp?

Lanterns are just so, well, bright (and often very annoying to other campers).
