U.K. "Blizzard Bag"

Interesting item....apparently not extremely comfortable, due to crinkly material, but weight of 14 ounces.. I wonder if and/or when they can be purchased in U.S. market....and/or are as effective as hype suggests...could be interesting for warmish weather, or as winter liner ??

Blizzard Bag £24.99
Using Reflexcell Technology ™(see below for more details) the Blizzard bag is nearly twice as warm per weight as a down sleeping bag. In fact the Blizzard Bag is so good it can easily be used for a 2/3 season sleeping bag. The Royal Marines found it 4 times more effective than the current UK issue survival bag. The Blizzard products are also re useable and have no shelf life, vacuum packed when new, but once used they can be repacked into the nylon case (spare part) to be only slightly larger then when vacuumed packed.

Size (vacuum packed): 21 x 11 x 4 cm.
Volume: 0.9 litres.

Weight: 385 grams.
Size (unpacked): 2.1 metres. (fits fully clothed large adult)
Colour: Silver or Green.

Reflexcell Technology ™
The idea of Reflexcell™ was conceived 15 years ago when the founder and managing director of Blizzard Survival, Derek Ryden, realized that outdoor enthusiasts and professionals needed something more effective than plastic bivvy bags and lighter than conventional sleeping bags. Reflexcell is a triple layer corrugated foil blanket that combines the foil's heat reflecting properties with the insulation of the trapped air to produce a foil blanket/sleeping bag hybrid. Reflexcell™, is a super-lightweight material that provides unprecedented thermal performance in the most demanding condition

Sounds like a windshield reflector crossed with a spaceblanket bivy????

More like a space blanket crossed with corrugated box material. It may be a minor, but actually new technology.
