We recently came across a Gander Mountain 10x12 tent in "like new" condition. It has steel poles that are on the exterior and is a single-walled tent. Up until now, all of our tents have been small, high end backpacking tents as this is our first venture into spacious car camping. We would like to know from some of you more experienced car campers what are the advantages or disadvantages of this style tent since all of the newer models appear to have separate rainflys. Our own first impressions are that it's much studier though heavier and that it won't breathe as well but that shouldn't be a problem as there's just the two of us.
