Can anyone tell me about hot weather hiking boots that are made in the U.S. I have been looking online and there's not a whole lot of options. I live in Texas and for 6 months out of the year its hot and humid. Would a full grain boot be the better choice over something vented? I plan on using the boot to persue photography. I'm not going to be hiking for miles over mountains or anything like that. I just wanted some suggestions for a boot that will last a long time, does well in a hot environment, and is under $300. Thanks. I really appreciate the advice.
