K2 T1 Specifications-requested help
I know someone who has a Dana Design/K2 T-1 external frame pack. I've read the user reviews and I know its a great pack. What I need are the specs:
1) Cubic inches?
2) Dimensions of the pack?
3) Does the frame expand?
4) What is the "Arcflex" Shoulder straps?
5) What is the "Acrilite" Hip Belt
6) Will the above hip belt accomadate a 32" waist?
Thank you.

Re: K2 T1 Specifications-requested help
I have two of these, a regular and a large. The regular is sold and the large just arrived today and fits like it was molded to me. I prefer Dana's packs to anything I have ever had or used and now have owned nine of them, over 31 yrs. and still have eight.
I want to buy a T1 large frame and do not care about the bag, just the frame or, a Bozeman-made frame is good, too.
Depending on your height, the regular T1 frame should fit you perfectly, the waist belt WILL fit a 32" waist and you will not find a better rig for packing serious weight in warm weather.

Thanks to the both of you. The link to the web site was outstanding and just what I was looking for. Even though the T1 looks like an exceptional pack I think I'm looking more for a Longbed due to the fact I pack for me and many times for me 2 young children also. The website link helped me determone that since I can see the Longbed has 6000 cu inches. The other packs I was consodering were the Kelty Tioga 5500 and Kelty res cloud 6650 cu iches

Re: K2 T1 Specifications-requested help
Well, I have yet to see a Kelty or ANY other frame pack that even comes close to the DD Longbed for comfort under heavy loads. I would not part with the one I just bought for twice what I paid for it and can carry as much in it as I can lift with NO discomfort.
I now hope to find a Dana Designs Bozeman-made Astralplane in red or orange in size medium, but, with large harness/belt and mint condition for winter trekking on snowshoes. I prefer these to the current G-7000/Kodiak line, and I have a Kodiak-BDSB, but, the longitudinal inner zipper and certain other features of the Astralplane make it better for MY uses in winter.
Find and buy the Longbed, that is THE rig for what you are doing.

Re: K2 T1 Specifications-requested help
I had got shortbed and T1, but the shortbed already been sold, since the pack is not compressable. if you don't load it full, the pack will not be stable. So I also don't prefer using longbed, if you really need a big pack, terraframe should be a better choice.
about the waist, the hip belt is exchangable, you can use any size of hip belt for the pack.
Arcflex & Acrlite are one of their pack systems, depends on the manufacturing year of the pack, you may get vary system on the pack.

Do you still have your T1 and what size is it? If, it is a "large" and in very nice condition, I would be most interested in buying it and would pay a good price, if you wished to sell it.
