Im looking for a new tent

does any body know of a lite-weight tent that can be setup using only the rainfly and pole(s), however not one that uses trekking poles?

This is a common option on many tents -- the fly and poles can be set up without the mesh interior.

GoLite makes a bunch of varieties.

There are several tent lines that allow what you are referring to - a 'Fast Fly' set up. All of the Big Agnes Seedhouse models (Super Light - SL - and non-SL versions), the Big Agnes Fly Creek models, and I believe, their Copper Spur Models. MSR has the Hubba series that allows the same. All of these do require the optional footprint to set up with only the tent poles and fly, however.

I am sure there are more, but these lightweight models are the only ones that come directly to mind.
