Thought on this tent. Any good or bad experiences would be helpful.

I own the Assault Outfitter 4, I've reviewed it on this site.  I like it, it's a rugged tent that will handle high winds and rain.

That being said, I wouldn't classify it as a backpacking tent, it's too heavy (~13 pounds).  I guess you could split up the weight with a buddy or two to make it lighter.

For my needs right now (mostly taking Cub Scouts on camping trips) it is more than sufficient.  It's the most sturdy tent I have ever owned.  On one particular camping trip it held up against some straight line winds when practically every other tent either doubled over or blew away (to be fair, most of the other tents were from department stores).

Setup time is moderate with a partner, but can take a fair amount of time by yourself.  I recommend it for car camping or short treks into the woods.
