I totally agree about the shelter dogs. I have rescued three dogs since 1988.

Ricky was three years old when we rescued him.

We got Ricky about nine years ago when our rescued collie (just like Lassie) died

We also have another Border Collie named "Chico". He was six years old when we rescued him about 16 months ago.

When we are ready to adopt again it will definetly be from a Border Collie rescue league. They are a great organization that pulls dogs from shelters and places them in foster homes until they are adopted.
