Trail mix

I know everyone has their own trail mix they make up for on-the-go snacks, but I figured I'd throw my own mix in the ring:

All measurements based on side measurements of a 32oz. Nalgene (or similar) bottle

6oz. Sunflower kernals (The reduced sodium ones if you're watching your salt)

6oz. unsalted peanuts

6oz. M&M's

"Handful" of some sort of dried fruit (raisins, apricots, prunes... My favorite is dried cherries)

2 Tbsp brown sugar (for the sweet tooth)

Fill the rest with Quaker oats (flavored or original)

Shake like your life depends on it

This is a heck of a tasty treat while walking along, keeps your salts and sugars up, and the oats throw in quite a bit of protein and energy. That, and it's cheap and lasts a long while. Enjoy. Cheers
