In 2002 I was given a North Face Wind fleece. My brother had it for many years before it was handed down to me.
The legacy of this jacket was apparent from the start, burn holes from what he calls "chili bombs" riddled the exterior, some as large as quarters. A few hours worth of patching gave the jacket a much needed face lift.
As of 2011, the jacket still is holding its own, but recently was retired. I'll continue to cherish my jacket and one day when the time is right, my kids may rock those "VINTAGE" threads.
