I am planning a trip from SC to Shenandoah in mid-October, taking the Blue Ridge Parkway and making stops at McAfee Knob (on the AT), Peaks of Otter, Humpback Rocks, and ending up the last day in Shenandoah. Does anyone have any suggestions or input for good day hikes in the Southern District of Shenandoah?  I really want to go to Old Rag, but that is a little too far north, since we will have to drive back to SC after the hike. The hikes that I have looked into are Turk Mountain, Trayfoot Mountain, and Blackrock. These all look great, but I have only read about them on Summitpost.

THANKS!

Ashleigh
