Planning on hiking the narrows from the Ranch down (The overnighter). Has anyone here done it and if so, any tips or suggestions?

Thanks

I think most folks do it in a day. Long day.

Requires a permit and through hikes start in the spring when the water level comes down to a certain CFS (can't recall the exact number but ZNP knows). Varies from year to year.

Camping overnight is awesome, but, campsites can be tough to get. I seem to recall that number 6 is a nice spot.

Check out a friend's website that has mo' beta than you can shake a spadefoot toad at...

Another friend who gives an absolute great beta blast on the narrows and rents gear too. I highly recommend his orientation to the narrows:

Mean Bean in Sprindale for coffee and say hi to Joe for me!

Anyhoo, if you can't tell, I spend a ton of time down thar...let me know if you have any more questions!
