David:
On Sunday 5/5, walking up from Lafayette campground to Kinsman Ridge, I first saw snow patches at about 2000 feet. Before I reached Lonesome Lake (2700), the ground and trail were covered with snow. My highest point was just over 3700 feet, on the ridge, and by then the snow was about 2-3 feet deep, and melting. Hope that helps.
