Hiking the Lost Coast, northern CA.

I'm heading back to the station I just came from, in northern CA. Has anybody here done any hiking along the Lost Coast? I have plenty of maps and books about the Sierra, the Trinity's, etc. but nothing about trails around Cape Mendocino.

I'm not sure how much time I will be able to take off next summer with transferring but I want to take one trip in the Sierra around Tahoe and maybe a couple of weekenders closer to home. The trip from Michigan to CA should be pretty cool, I should be able to hit the Badlands then up into Montana and Wyoming to check out Yellowstone on my way through to Boise to visit a friend there.
