I plan on doing a solo 3 day 2 night backpacking trip over Labor Day weekend. I know it might be hot, but it is my senior year in college and want to get away one last time before I start this rough/hard semester. Anyone have any suggestions on any good places? I live in Columbia, wanting to drive maybe 5 hours the most. Thanks everyone

You might consider Buffalo National Forest in Arkansas. It is a 4 hour drive from Columbia, Missouri.
