Last fall when I pedaled from Wyoming to Arizona I stopped near Moab Utah and went up the Colorado River to a side canyon called Negro Bill and day hiked to Morning Glory Arch.
These are pictures from the hike and some aerial views and top's from Mapcard.com my USGS site.

Above and below are the topo and aerial views of Negro Bill canyon

This aerial view shows the head of the side canyon that Morning Glory Arch is in. Where the two angled straight lines are is the arch.

here a rappeler ropes down the arch from above

Northeast view of Morning Glory Arch, note person on rope in lower left corner.

Looking up thru the arch from the NE corner

Person coming down on rope from arch

Looking straight up at the arch

Looking towards the NE corner, there's a rope hanging thru the center.

One more looking up...

That brings back memories... I've day hiked it and did a guided canyoneering trip where we rappelled in like that. Thanks for sharing!

Sure thing Trailpotato! Interesting profile name!
I hope to get back up the Colorado River canyon again some day. Lots of side canyons to explore.
