Today this morning I took a short ride for an hour and a half to Glendale and the Bench area above it. The above shot is of Glendale Utah a small community of about 400 nestled in mid Long Valley about 3 miles north of where I live. This view looks south. The blue horizon area is the backs of the Vermilion Cliffs. I live in the White Cliffs area. The Grand Canyon's North Rim is farther south beyond the Vermilion Cliffs.

This is looking northwest from the Glendale Bench road. The skyline has parts of the Pink Cliffs which are the same geographic area that Bryce Canyon is part of. The flowers in the foreground recently bloomed after the rain we had in September.

This area is all part of the western section of the Grand Staircase National Monument.
