Nice Gary. Snowbowl ski resort at the Peak on the left, yes? Miss Oak Creek Canyon. It's been almost a year.

No...I wish. My grandparents built two cabins side by side in 1944 just South of the  89A switchbacks up to Flagstaff. The cabins are creekside right next to the Pine Flats campgrounds. Learned to fish there. Both are still in the family. I spent every Summer there for the first 18 years of my life. My favorite place on the planet. Would've gone to NAU but they didn't have a competitive Architectural Program at the time. Learned to Ski on Agazzi. I follow your posts and threads for many reasons (wisdom, innovation, tips, etc.) not the least of which are your photos and stories of the area. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, 18 years, thats cool. As you know from my posts I spent 30 years living and working the summers in Jackson Hole, WY. I miss it something fierce. My best friends live up there. Thinking of going back next summer.

Jackson Hole? On my list of "to go" places. I hope you get back there next Summer. I know you have/had a Golite Hex 3. Is it truly a 3 man tent? It's on my dream list for 4 season equipment (Shangri-La 3 of course), along with an odyssey pack. Have a great day.

Its a 3 man tent if you use the loop at the top instead of the pole in the middle. If you can tie off the top of the tent to a branch above then there is definetely enough room for 3.  I had all three parts, the Rainfly, the bugnetting nest and the floor (which I used when the weather was nice and no rain was expected)

I really liked mine, I sold it to a guy in the U.K. that wanted it for use at the base camp to Everest this month. I used it as my only tent for about 10 years.

I replaced it with the Shangri-la 1 person shelter which is much lighter at 1.4 lbs. I also have a North Face Mountain 25 that I use as a base camp tent for month long expeditions.
