Well I am using this excellent mummy bag here in cold Wisconsin for my winter camping adventures and all I can say this is a really great bag!
The size is just perfect with the right amount of shoulder room (34 inches). The Desert Pine uses ALPS Mountaineering's own Tech Loft, which is their version of Dupont's Hollofil II. I find the insulation to loft up quite quickly and it is very soft and comfortable. The bag is very warm.
I like the design of the hood. It has a contour design and cinches down very well. The bag had both puffy zipper/chest baffles to lock in body heat. All in all this is one excellent bag.
