A pair of lightweight hiking boots that had been with me for nearly five years and covered over 400 miles in numerous countries. Ankle support remains strong and waterproof capability still at 100%, despite being heavily used under different weather and trail conditions. They are good for trips ranging from day hike to light weight backpacking. Thermal insulation may be insufficient when walking on snowy paths.

They took about 10-15 miles to break in. Thereafter, the "second skin" feel became more apparent. The soles however, are prone to damage by small to medium size rocks with sharp edges. Otherwise, nothing more than the usual wear and tear happened.

They reached their end-of-life during a short hiking trip recently. The EVA foam within the heels had been perishing and eventually reached the outer layer, splitting the heels open horizontally. I am not complaining - the boots performed their duties superbly, and I am now on my second pair of Asolo. This time the FSN 95GTX. See how they go!
