Break-in Period: 2.5 weeks
Price Paid: $200
I took these boots to the Grand Canyon within 2 weeks of pulling them from the box. After a few smaller hikes (5-10 miles) total, I used them to cross the canyon, 26 miles, and they handled it perfectly.
Great break in time, minor hot spots on my heels, but nothing that was unmanageable. The ankle support is spectacular. Great traction. I have fairly wide feet, and the normal width was a good fit, they do offer a wide fit, but my experience was that it was for very wide feet.
Overall, you can't go wrong with Asolo, and these boots are no exception.
