I was originally going to buy the MSR Lighting Ascent but could not pass up the deal on the 1225's. Was very impressed with ease of putting on these shoes. One pull on the top and one pull on the side and you are locked in for the entire day.
Took these on a 10 hr hike up some steep inclines and liked the grip and the lifts helped a lot for calf fatigue. Overall a great product for the price.
