Atlas Elektra 12 Series
These are excellent and comfortable snowshoes. They are very light weight and maintain stability in all kinds of snow conditions. The "one pull" ease to put them on and the heel riser for steep terrain make this snowshoe a winner.

Fabric located near the big two position on both snowshoes is fraying/rubbing. Not sure what is causing this, but I am not happy.

The Atlas 12 series snowshoes are the go-getter, do all snowshoe ready to handle anything between the trailhead and the summit. Like the other snowshoes in their line these use the same great Wrapp Pro bindings but these featureFlowTape silicone straps that glide through low-friction buckles witha smooth buckle release for easy on-off use. They also use a nicer 7075 aluminum frame for lighter weight and stronger tubing, and also use variable ReactiVforming which gives these snowshoes a stiffer, more responsive flex. Extensive biomechanics research led to the development of our Elektra women's frame, with outside rolling bends, a narrower waist, and a tapered tail that refuse to compromise on a women's natural stance and gait. Also, with the Spring-LoadedSuspension you get deeper penetration of the toe crampon while the Advanced Aft Traction gives you sure footed feel on any type of terrain. The 12 series is Atlas' top of the line snowshoes, so when you're ready to play in some real snow you know what tool you need in your arsenal.Specs:Length - 23" Surface Area - 145 sq. in. Atlas Women's 12 Series Electra Snowshoe FEATURES of Atlas Women's 12 Series Electra Snowshoe ReactiV Frame: Atlas' most recent patent, the variable forming of our 7075 aluminum ReactiV frame changes from a cylindrical to an elliptical shape to increase strength where the frame bears the greatest loads for a stiffer, more responsive snowshoe frame. Spring-Loaded Suspension: An Atlas tenet from the beginning, Atlas' patented Spring-Loaded Suspension (SLS) keeps the snowshoe close underfoot for easy maneuvering and suspends your foot so it can move freely with its intended articulation. The suspension absorbs impact and lets your foot flex naturally side-to-side for a comfortable, stable position on traverses and uneven terrain. SLS enhances traction control too, as the flex provides deeper crampon penetration into the slope, especially on steep or off-angle terrain. Wrapp Pro Binding: The men's and women's Wrapp Pro bindings feature FlowTape silicone straps that glide through low-friction buckles with a smooth buckle release for easy on-off use. Heel Lift Bar: On steep climbs, calf muscles tire quickly and traction decreases when your foot matches the slope angle. The heel lift bar eases fatigue and ties directly into Advanced Aft Traction for grip. Duratek Decking: Our lightest and strongest deck ing, Duratek uses a pebble-finish for more abrasion resistance on the 12 Series, Elektra 12 Series, Elektra 11 Series, and BC24 snowshoes. Designed for women from the start, the Atlas Elektra 12 Series snowshoes benefit from Atlas' leading research into women's biomechanics. The 7075 ReactiV aluminum frame is specially shaped with outside rolling bends to create a narrower waist and tapered tail that allow a woman's natural stride. The padded Wrapp Pro binding eliminates pressure points to keep your circulation moving and your extremities warm, and FlowTape Silicone straps glide easily through the buckles, even with mittens on. Spring-Loaded Suspension gives the stainless steel prongs and rails of the toe and heel crampons even deeper penetration. The Duratek decking keeps the weight down, and the climbing bar will let you charge to the summit with ease.
Big and buoyant, the Atlas Elektra 12 Series Snowshoes are designed for women who want the steeper and deeper. But that doesn't mean these mountain hikers are heavy. At less than 5 lbs the 7075 aluminum frame keeps the weight down. The Zodiac toe crampons provide a reliable purchase on icy patches and wind slabs. Stainless steel Zodiac toe crampon deeply penetrates even the firmest snow Weight-activated, StabiLock Rear Traction Wrapp Pro binding
