Bought these boots just after Christmas and decided to really splash out and get something that would last. The boots have performed very well and are extremely comfortable and are amazingly waterproof. Only downside was the laces: they wore out after 3 walks. I contacted Berghaus who were extremely helpful and supplied me with several replacement pairs of laces. Were originally nubuck but they have reverted to smooth leather now I have used various waxes on them. They are an attractive looking boot and I think Berghaus will do well with this new range. They are also basic, strap on crampon compatable and the sole is stiff enough and there is a good toe bumper/high rand to protect against scratches. At £130 they aren't cheap but are a quality boot. Check them out!
