I have read the reviews about warmth and this bag and feel they have undersold it. I just returned from hiking the John Muir Trail in CA and must say it performed excellent there. I have also used this bag on several spring and fall trips and a couple of winter outings and have not gotten cold in it.

I like the water repellancy of the seam zero. Other bags get wet from condensation and rainy conditions, this bag does not due to the seam zero water proof coating which does work.

The KEY to keeping warm is use a good pad. I find the Big Agnes Dual Core insulated pad works well. Couple it with Big Agnes sleeping green giant pad and you have a complete winter system that will give you a comfortable rest and assure you that you won't roll off your pad. Sometimes in winter camping I add an REI wool bag liner which is very stretchy and sleep just fine at temps down to 15 degrees.

Mt Connes in CA in late Sept it got down to 19 and I slept great. Some people sleep cold and should just get bags that are rated 20 degrees colder than the anticipated temp. My girlfriend is that way. I don't know why they stopped making this bag.
