Rating: rated 3 of 5 stars
Source: bought it new

Summary

Light and packable, but a little bit chilly.

Pros

  • Light
  • Stuffs well
  • Easily attached to pad

Cons

  • Doesn't live up to temp rating

The Gilpin is a fantastic bag for most 3-season backpacking. When I take it in the fall though, I tend to get some cold air from the bottom of the bag between where the pad attaches and the bag sits.

It's an earlier model Big Agnes, and they have probably improved on the design, but knowing that I would be a bit cold with the bag, I've had to take extra weight in the form of a fleece blanket.
