I recently got this pack for my climbing bag and took it on a muti pitch route. It was great, I hiked in about 5 miles to the wall with no issues and climbed with it on the first pitch. It kept out of the way and was unrestraining with the mostly nylon strap hipbelt but it had some padding with provided adequate support. It also is setup to be hauled up with some accessory cord. Also the pack compressed nicely once I took my rope out of the bag and my gear didn't shift around while wearing it. Excellent climbing pack, or for anyone who wants something simple.
