Where we live in southeast Alaska, you often leave the house with your skis and snowshoes on you pack wearing rain gear. Halfway up the mountain you have to change out rain gear for ski gear and snowshoe to the ski area. This pack holds it all, and very comfortable too. For one day or overnight this is by far the simplest multi-use pack I have ever had, wouldn't leave home without it.
