Haven't put it through run-down test yet, but love the design. Warm white light is nice change for a LED lantern.
Very good light output. Compact for 3 C cell design with the larger battery size providing long run time. Easy to hang and stable base.
As a flashlightaholic, this would be my first choice for backup lighting at home followed by the River Rock 3 AA lantern found at Target. Shop around on the internet for the best price around $30 for this Brunton.
Brunton has a history of thoughtful LED lantern design and this lantern continues that history.
Of course this light will not come close to what you get from a propane lantern or a mantelled kerosene lantern. But the safety factor is huge. Just remember to turn your lantern on once in awhile and check the batteries for corrosion/leakage or take the batteries out of the light until needed.
