This knife is OK as a pocket knife, and the blade folds away into the handle to reveal a carabiner-style clip with a bottle opener at the base of the carabiner clip. However, this knife is over 6" long, and is rather heavy for a pocket knife.

Additionally, the MSRP on this blade was $80; I lucked out to get it for half off because it was an older model. I have owned this knife for 3 years now and it still works well, but I wouldn't buy it if you were looking for something for the backcountry - too big and too heavy.
