How many people haven't had their bite valve "bite the dust" or get squished and leak during transit. This cover works perfectly to protect the valve from both occurrences. It just slips over the hose below the bite valve and stays in place very well. The cover stays on well and yet is easy to remove & replace - weighs nothing...
Still I don't know why it costs $6 or why every hydration pack doesn't come with one! ... Perfect - get one you won't regret it (I have 4 - one for every member of the family! - it's that good)
